DAM Dryland Training Program
An intense out of the water training program that focuses
on strengthening your core muscles - a perfect program
to enhance your swimming!
Join the DAM Dryland Program for an intense out of the water training experience. The program focuses on the core muscles of the body increasing lean body mass, strength, bone density, and flexibility, all issues faced by an aging population.
The training routine is based on scientific principles
and is supervised by a Sports Physical Therapist insuring
the program is safe as well as fun. Individuals are
able to progress at their own pace and are
paired with people of similar experience and ability.
Using a variety of equipment and body weight exercises, the DAM Dryland Program is a compliment to other forms of exercise including biking, running and of course swimming. Most importantly, Dryland training has been shown over and over again to reduce the signs of aging.
The DAM Drylands meet at the SMU outdoor
pool and are offered two times per
week: Wednesday night at 6:30 PM and
Sunday morning at 10:00 AM.
The fee for non-DAM members is $40.00 per month and current
DAM members is $30.00 per month. DAM Members can
sign up by calling our office at 214-219-2300 or email Laurie
Dunlap .
