A native of Colorado and High School All American he earned a scholarship to compete at Southern Methodist University. He was a five-time NCAA division I All American. While at SMU Bobby was a member of the US Open and American Record 400 Medley Relay swimming the butterfly. He represented the USA on National teams including the 1982 World Championship team and the 1987 Pan Pacific Championship team.
Patten is an experienced open water swimmer and has been the over-all winner of the Waikiki Roughwater Swim, the Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim, and the Lake Minnetonka 5-mile Open Water National Championship Swim. Bobby holds Masters World and American Records in several events including the 200 Butterfly, 1500 Meter Freestyle and the 10,000 Meters. Patten has coached swimming for over 20 years and is the Co-Founder and Head Coach of the Dallas Aquatic Masters. |

Since 1981, Jim has developed the Masters Swim concept and is currently part owner of the Dallas Aquatic Masters Swim Club, one of the top adult fitness exercise programs in the country. From 1988 - 1990 Jim was responsible for the design and start-up of the Baylor Aquatic Center located at the Baylor-Tom Landry Center in Dallas, Texas. It was the first facility ever built with the primary focus on adult fitness swimming and aquatic medical programming and research. From 1990 through 1999 Jim served as Director of the Baylor Aquatic Center. Since 1998, Jim has served as Aquatics Director and Head Varsity Swim Coach at Greenhill School in Dallas, Texas. Jim has also excelled in sports having been a consistent champion throughout his swimming career; he has held 10 World records and won 9 World Championships, 14 Masters World Championships, 14 National Titles and 7 N.C.A.A. Titles. As a member of the 1976 U.S.A. Olympic Team, Jim won three gold medals and one bronze medal, and was the first man ever to break 50 seconds in the 100-meter freestyle.
Jim grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and attended Madison East High School where he won six state championships in swimming. He went on to swim for James "Doc" Counsilman at Indiana University where he graduated with honors from the IU School of Business. His senior year he was awarded the Belfour award as the top student athlete in the Big Ten Conference. Jim currently lives in Dallas, Texas with wife Diane and father to five children, Taylor, Chase, Ann, Ellis, and Beau. |

Glenn arrived in Dallas from St. Charles High School, St. Charles, IL. and swam sprint freestyle for SMU from '80-'83. He started coaching with the Dallas Aquatics Masters in '84 and has been coaching with DAM ever since. By day, Glenn works in the accounting department at the "best bank in town", North Dallas Bank & Trust Co. Nights and weekends are blessed with his wife, Amy, and children, Robby and Ryan. |

Liana was born in Mountain View, CA. and started swimming competitively at age four. As an age-grouper, she was a consistent Junior National and National qualifier in mid-distance and distance freestyle events, winning the 200 Free at the Alabama State H.S. Championship. Liana swam distance freestyle events for SMU 1985-1989 and was Team Captain 1988-1989. She has been a DAM coach since fall 2001 and has been coaching Swim Basics since its inception in 2003. She also helps lead our Dryland training. Liana specializes in breathing and stroke fundamentals for beginning swimmers and distance and open water training. |

Lisa competed for SMU and was honored as an All-American 1980-84. Currently, she conducts pharmaceutical research at Medical City Hospital. She was the Asst. Varsity swim coach at Greenhill School 2000-2002 and has coached masters since 1987. Lisa was selected for the USA World Long Course Triathlon team 1998 & 1999 and she was a Great Floridian Iron Man age group winner 1998. |

Regina swam for Rice University 1985 - 1989, while she earned two B.A.'s -one in political science, and one in Kinesiology/Health. She made All-American - division II on two relays her freshman year. Regina was awarded a NCAA post graduate scholarship to UT-Austin and received a Master's in Athletic Management in 1991. Regina has been coaching swimming, teaching government, AP government and economics since 1996 at Richardson High School. Regina feels that her most gratifying coaching experiences have been when she has inspired her athletes, be they 5, 15 or 55 years old, to believe in themselves and to love swimming. Regina currently trains with the JJPearce group. Regina started coaching and swimming for DAM 1999. |

Lia was a 12-time High School All-American from Fort Wayne, Indiana and a four year All -American from SMU, graduating in 1999. She was a 4-time NCAA Champion. She was a WAC record-holder in the 200 fly, 100 back and 200 back and a member of the 1997 & 1999 USA Pan Pacific teams. She was a silver and bronze medalist at the 1997 World Championships. She was a 2-time former American Record Holder and a 3-time Masters World Record Holder. |

Originally from Romania, Alex started swimming in 1970 in Romania. He won the national title in the 50, 100, and 200 Breaststroke, several times in 200 IM and broke more than 300 National records in these events. He participated in two European Championships, (Geneva, Oslo) Europe Cup and many more International meetings. In 1986 graduated from the Institute of Physical Education and Sports in Bucharest whit major in Physical Therapy, and minor in Swimming. He coached Age group swimming in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and worked full time PT. In1990 he moved to Plano, TX and has worked 13 years at Physiotherapy Ass. Alex is married and a father of two great kids, Andrea 21, student at Texas Tech and Thomas, 9 third grader in Plano and 3 Chocolate Lab dogs. |

John was born in South Africa and was a member of the South African National Team. He came to the USA to swim at SMU where he was a four year All-American swimmer. He was Assistant Coach at SMU and then taught adult swimming at SMU and Richland College. He is married, has three children and works in the Insurance Adjusting business. He has been teaching in our Swim Basics program since 2004. |

Patti Monzingo has a background in competitive swimming, endurance sports and weight training. She's been coaching and teaching swimming lessons since college and operates School of Fish Swim School in Lake Highlands. She's also the Assistant Swim Coach at The Greenhill School. Swimming has been a part of Erin's life since she began swimming age group at age 8. In college, she played club water polo for Notre Dame and continued to play on many teams post-graduation. She has also remained active in masters swimming programs and joined DAM in 2005 when she moved to Dallas. She loves open water events and has competed in the Minnetonka Challenge, Escape from Alcatraz and the Maui Channel Sw im. Erin has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from SMU and currently works for PepsiCo's Frito-Lay Division in Strategy. She lives in Lakewood with her husband Vin, and children Reese and Audrey. |

A native of California (Mission Viejo), he was a 4-time High School All American, National High School Champion and Record holder (100 Backstroke - 1980). In college he was a 3-time NCAA All-American at UCLA (1981)& SMU (1984 & 1985). On the national scene he was a 3-time US National Champion (200 Backstroke)and represented US on various national teams including the 1980 Olympic Team & 1982 World Championship team.
Steve has been involved with Masters swimming since 1987 with both DAM and an Orlando Masters Team. On the professional side, he has just recently parted with his employer of 15 years, EmCare(an Emergency Medicine Practice Management Co) and was the director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Steve lives in Lakewood and is married (Susan). He has two boys Andrew (8) and Thomas (5). When he is not coaching masters swimming he is often seen on the golf course or coaching various YMCA youth sports teams. Please be warned he has often been seen with 2 (two) Dr. Pepper's on deck while he coaches and has been refered to as "Coach Yell". |

Michael came to Dallas from Taby, Sweden to swim for the SMU Mustangs. As a swimmer at SMU, Michael was a two-time All American. In Sweden, Michael won 30 national titles in various events. He was part of the Swedish Junior National Team 1994-1997 and the Swedish National Team 1996-2002 where was a finalist at the 1997 World Short Course Championship and the 1997 European Long Course Championship in the 200 IM and 400 IM. After receiving his Ph.D from the University of Texas at Austin, Michael and his wife moved to Fort Worth. He works at Sid Richardson Carbon & Energy Co. focusing on product discovery and development. Michael starting coaching for DAM in 2012. |

Billy is originally from Penn Hills, Pennslyvania and came to Dallas to swim for SMU. He was captain of the SMU Swim Team in 1979 and was a 3 time NCAA Division I All-American and a 1976 Olympic Trial finalist. He was 5 time member of the USA National Team and was inducted in tothe Pennslyvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. He is owner of the White Rock Construction, Inc. and is married to Carol and they have four children. Billy started coaching for DAM in 2009. |

Brian grew up in Houston with his parents and two younger sisters, also swimmers. From age 8 to 18, Brian swam for Katy Aquatics. In high school he swam for Katy Taylor and was a member of the 2001 and 2003 5A State Championship teams. Brian went on to swim at Clemson University where he majored in Graphic Communications. His achievements in college include: All-ACC Academic Team, ACC Championship Medalist, Clemson Outstanding Senior Male Scholar Athlete 2006-07 and Team Captain 2006-07. He started coaching for DAM in 2010. |

is originally from Shelton, Connecticut where he swam for Deerfield Academy. He then traveled west to swim for UCLA where he was a member of UCLA's 1982 NCAA Championship teamand was a 1980 Olympic Trial Qualifier. He has previously coached for the University of Texas Men's Swim Team and Westside Masters in Culver City, California. He is a U.S. Masters All-American and has been a member of DAM since 1986. Ross spends his days in Dallas as a freelance creative director/copywriter and is married to Dr. Laura Frye. They have one son Reese. He started coaching for DAM in 2010. |

His attended the University of Texas at Dallas for undergraduate studies and SMU for his Masters degree. He was a semiconductor engineer and corporate officer before a career change led him to become a swim coach. He currently coaches for the Dallas Mustangs, First Baptist Academy, DASA Summer league and starting coaching for DAM in 2011. He is married to Conia and they have three beautiful girls. |

He graduated with a BS in Management Information Systems and has his MBA from Babson Olin School of Management. Mike did not start swimming until his junior year in high school, but he quickly took to the sport. In just two years of high school swimming, he was named Boston Globe and Boston Herald 'All-Scholastic' two-years in a row, won 5 gold and 1 silver medal at the Massachusetts State Championships and captained his team to two State Titles. Mike is an avid golfer, is married and has a dog and two cats. He started coaching with DAM in 2011. |

is from Louisville, Kentucky and was a former KY State Record holder in the 1650, Junior Nationals Quatlifier and NCAA Division II qualifier for Wright State University. He started coaching in 1983 for the Lakeside Swim Club in Louisville prior to relocating to Dallas. He was part of a 1992 FINA World Masters Record 200-Meter Free Relay (short course) along with Bobby Patten. He is also the head age group coach for the Dallas Mustangs Swim Team. He is married to wife Misty and has four daughters. Doug coached for Dallas Aquatic Masters from 1990 to 2005 and returned to coach for DAM in 2013. |

is a Dallas native and has been coaching Masters Swimming since 1997. He coached the Town North YMCA Masters for several years before going to the Cooper Fitness Center in 2005 to coach the SWAM Masters team until 2012. He has coached for the St. Mark's School Varsity team since 2009 and is also currently the Aquatics Director at T Bar M Raquet Club. He is an active triathlete and distance swimmer. He placed 6th in the 1000 Freestyle event in the 2007 Masters Nationals, first place in the 2008 Capitol of Texas Open Water Swim, and first place in the 2011 Cooper Fitness Center Triathlon. He is married to wife Kaitlin and started coaching for DAM in 2013. |

She swam for State College Area High School and was awarded High School All-American on their multi-year State Championship team. Erin swam for Hobart and William Smith Colleges and also rowed on the Crew Team there. She is a Certified Art and Special Education Teacher. She is the Assistant Swim Coach at Hockaday and is the owner/designer of her own jewelry business in Dallas. She is married to Jordan Zitoun and started coaching for DAM in 2013. |
