DAM Distance Swim Training Practices

April 3 through September 27, 2012 

SMU Red Barr Pool:  50 Meter Outdoor Pool 

Our distance swim practices offer active DAM members the opportunity to work on their endurance and train effectively for events like open water swim competitions and triathlons.

  • Improve freestyle stroke mechanics, plan race strategy and
         discover new training techniques.
  • Learn breathing, sighting techniques, body posture & balance.
  • Experience water entry/exit and rough/calm waters.
  • Master the ability to navigate, pace, swim in a crowd and draft efficiency.
  • Achieve mental preparation and confidence! 


At Dallas Aquatic Masters we train and condition competitive swimmers and triathletes of all skill levels. We are the premier masters swim program of North Texas. 

Distance Swim Practice Schedule:

April 3-September 27:  Tuesday & Thursday Evenings - 6:30pm-7:30pm*; Sundays 8am-9am**

      *May 8-July 26: Tuesday & Thursday Evenings time changes to 7:15pm-8:15pm
     **May 13-August 26:  Sundays 8am-9am
    
  *August 14-September 27:  Tuesday & Thursday Evenings only.  No Sunday practices
