Sprint Swim and Distance Swim Training Programs
Returning this spring 2010, Dallas Aquatic Masters
will again add two new training opportunities to the
weekly calendar. Practices will begin Tuesday, March
30 and go through Tuesday, September 28, 2010.
For those of you who have decided to take on the challenge
of a triathlon, an open water swim or train for an upcoming
swim meet, we will offer a sprint and distance training
program from March 30 through September 28, 2010..
Sprint Swim Training - Fast
swimming with long rest is beneficial to swimmers no
matter what distance you are preparing for. Adding a
day or two of sprint swimming to your
swim program will greatly help you improve your over
all swimming, plus it's just fun. For those of you planning
on competing in any meet
this spring or summer, these practices are a must! During
these practices we will focus on starts, turns and stroke
technique. The one hour sprint sessions will be offered
on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings and begin Tuesday,
March 30, 2009 at the SMU Outdoor pool. The pool
will be split on Tuesdays and Sundays - half sprint
and half distance. See practice schedule for practice
times.
